We educate seniors to live well independently. ASF hosts workshops and seminars on a wide variety of topics relevant to seniors and their caregivers. Through close collaboration with community partners, we identify pertinent information gaps among seniors and partner with professionals and organizations to deliver applicable solutions in the most effective format.

Advocacy
We advocate against all types of abuse of seniors. Elder abuse is not just physical, financial and emotional abuse. Repeated neglect and abandonment or any violation of a senior’s trust that puts them in harm, qualifies as elder abuse.
Compassionate Care
We care for seniors wellbeing and provide resources to enhance their quality of life.
Our subsidized in-home care program is a lifeline for frail and financially challenged seniors.
Services include:
Nursing, personal care, caring companionship, appointment escort, light housekeeping.
We’ve partnered with the AfriCan Food Basket and its Black Food Toronto initiative to provide emergency supplies of culturally sensitive fresh fruits, vegetables and staples to African Caribbean and Black seniors in the GTA who are adversely affected by COVID-19 pandemic.
